People would go and not sit in their seats, wander all over the place, the girls would chant for the defense when the offense was on the field, and nobody actually watched the game.





There were two exceptions to this one: when the best team in the state came in to town and also when our rival from the next town over played us at the end of the season. Then, suddenly, everybody watched the game.
There was nothing but a big field of grass behind the bleachers, so every Friday night there was a mini football game going on. If people weren't messing around back there, we did follow the real game. That and socialize with everyone.
I agree with Colonel Reb. Usually students went to the game but did nothing but socialize the entire time. Usually the seniors were the ones that actually watched and cheered for the team.
saying smoke pot is the most boring answer. god, i knew I was gonna see that before I even scrolled down to the answers. everyone is way too predictable today. and they're probably just lying.





but one thing we did was we had a BBQ inside the closed shed behind the field. Yes, we brought a george forman grill in there and stole a lot of the soda. MAYBE some people did smoke pot and drink but eventually we got caught grilling in there and we all got banned from football games. it didnt matter anyway since we were seniors and it was our last game! HA!
